I've just read an article in the Austrian Times about Austrian Airlines and why they are scared of low-cost airline. I thought you might be interessted in this article because it shows the results of a study by pollsters Infoscreen Monitorsand. 48 per cent said they trusted other airlines more than those offering low-priced fares when it comes to safety.

Basically what it says is that the expensive airlines are scared of the cheaper airlines, but otherwise there is no difference beetween the cheap airlines and the expensive airlines. It also says that the cheap airlines are a big problem for the airlines like Lufthansa or British Airways and many others. They try to get the most money out of the flights and then there are the cheap airlines which offer very cheap flights. In my opinion, I think it's good for us because the flights are cheap but for economy of the world it is the worst case that could happen.
